Mrs. Dorcas Naa Torshie Kane

Dorcas Naa Torshie Kane has been called to the Ghana Bar and is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of London, UK.

Prior to her appointment to her current role, she was a member of the Legal Department of GLICO Group Limited.

Dorcas is currently the Company Secretary for GLICO Group LTD and its six (6) associated companies namely GLICO Healthcare LTD, GLICO Life Insurance Company LTD, GLICO General Insurance Company LTD, GLICO Pensions Trustee Company LTD, GLICO Capital LTD and GLICO Properties LTD.

Kwaku Achampong-Kyei

Kwaku Achampong-Kyei holds a Master of Science in International Business (Finance) as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from HULT International Business School, London – UK.

During his time at HULT Business School, Kwaku worked under the institution’s action project program, where he worked as a consultant on market strategies for The Clorox Company (San Francisco -USA) and Lebara Money (London- UK).

He also progressively acquired knowledge and experience moving across departments as an Accounts and Finance Officer, Marketing Officer and a Management Trainee within the GLICO Group subsidiary companies.

He joined GLICO Capital as an Associate Director and has since risen over the years to his current position.  Prior to joining GLICO Capital, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank Plc. (Ghana) where he rotated through Corporate Banking and the Group Special Asset Management Departments.

Kwaku Achampong-Kyei is also a Director of Zeepay Ghana limited.

Anthony Boadu

Anthony Boadu is a Chartered Accountant par excellence.

Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of the Company, he had worked for over twelve years in the banking industry as Credit Analyst, Head of Credit Analysis Department and Head of Corporate Department at Bank of Africa and Société Générale Bank, Ghana, where he proved his ability to enhance the operational efficiency, customer experience and ultimately profitability of the banks’ businesses.

His areas of expertise include: Business Development; Assessing, Evaluating and Analyzing Credit Risk; Preparing and Presenting Reports, with extensive work experience in Credit Products Development, Environmental & Social Risk Management and Structured Facilities, alongside strong Communication Skills and Team leadership.

Anthony holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST); Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon as well as Advance Diploma in Business and Accounting, Professional Certificate in Structured International Trade Finance.

Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei

Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei is highly regarded as one of the most successful and astute entrepreneurs in Ghana. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK.

He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of GLICO Group., which is made up of GLICO Life Insurance Company, GLICO General Insurance Company, GLICO Healthcare, GLICO Pensions, GLICO Capital, GLICO Properties among others.

Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei worked with the reputable American Life in the United Kingdom for many years before returning to Ghana to pursue his dream of establishing a life insurance company with a vision of bringing life insurance to the doorstep of every Ghanaian household.

After founding Gemini Life Insurance Company (now GLICO LIFE), Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei exhibited remarkable business acumen to grow and develop GLICO to become a dominant brand of choice in Ghana. Apart from GLICO Group Ltd and its subsidiary companies, he also owns and has major stake in a number of other companies, which provide employment for hundreds of Ghanaians.

At the industry level, he was a Founding Member of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA) and served as the General Secretary of the GIA for more twelve consecutive years. He was instrumental in initiating and assisting in the establishment of a number of industry code of practice. He was one of the major brains behind the establishment of an oil and gas consortium (now known as GOGIP) following the discovery of oil and gas in commercial quantities in Ghana.

Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei serves on several Boards and his remarkable achievements have been recognized both locally and internationally with a number of awards including the prestigious Marketing Man of the Year conferred on him by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) in 2008, Order of the Volta, (one of the highest national awards, conferred on him by President John Agyekum Kufuor in 2008), Honorary Doctorate Degree awarded by the Commonwealth University in 2015, the 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year among many others.

Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei continues to pursue his entrepreneurial passion with verve and also inspire young people to exploit their God given talents and realize their dreams.

Sir Daniel Chales Gyimah

Sir Daniel Charles Gyimah is a professional Chemical Engineer as well as a Chartered Banker with over thirty (30) years experience. He is a Fellow of both the Ghana Institution of Engineers and Chartered Institute of Bankers (Ghana).

For almost a decade, he was the Private Sector Adviser to the Ghana Mission of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Sir Gyimah served as the Managing Director of Eximguaranty Company (Ghana), a company engaged in Financial Guarantees business in Ghana, from 1998 to 2001. He also served as the Managing Director of the National Investment Bank from 2001 to 2009.

He was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Global Food Processing Company, Nestle (Ghana) Ltd, and the First Ghana Building Company Ltd.

Additionally, Sir Gyimah was the Chairman of the Metro Mass Transit Company Ltd, a company which runs intra and inter-city transport services in Ghana. He held Directorship position of the Global Petrochemical Company, the TOTAL (Ghana) Ltd and the AU Development Company Ltd, a real estate development company.

In the field of academia, he was the Chairman of the Council of the University for Development Studies (UDS), and also served as a member of the Governing Board of the Catholic University of Ghana for ten (10) years.

Currently, Sir Gyimah is an independent financial and engineering consultant in the AS Johnson and Associates.
